Japanese fashion meets, hug pillows?

This isn’t some thing you see everyday. Hug pillows, a staple of Japan’s creepier otaku population, has been married with Japan’s equally strange fashion industry.
Here’s a snap of a 21-year-old college student in one of Tokyo’s top fashion spots, Harajuku, sporting a homemade Love Plus t-shirt.
This rather odd choice of clothing was made from a Love Plus hug pillow cover from moé rag Dengeki Moéoh.

I would also like to be the first person to point out that the shirt isn’t the only odd thing he’s wearing, but he is also wandering around in public in pajama bottoms with matching slippers.
Only in Japan…
